What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ward Clerk position at Heritage Hall Healthcare & Rehab Centers?
Heritage Hall is currently recruiting for a Ward Clerk. The Ward Clerk is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day recording and charting of medical and administrative information. They assist residents with scheduling appointments, transportation to different areas of the facility and answer non-medical resident questions. Other duties of the Ward Clerk involve assisting the nursing staff as directed.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA license in the state of Virginia
- One year of experience as a CNA or ward clerk in a Long-Term Care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of MDS assessments
- Knowledge of clinical computer software applications
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
