Director of Sports & Amenities / Tennis Professional

Full-Time | $45,000–$50,000 Lesson Commission
Southern Hills Plantation Club is seeking a dynamic and service-driven Director of Sports & Amenities / Tennis Professional to lead and grow our racquet sports and recreational amenities program. This role oversees tennis operations while also managing key club amenities to deliver an exceptional member experience.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing all racquet sports programming while managing the club’s broader sports and lifestyle amenities, including the pool, fitness center, and pickleball operations. The ideal candidate is an engaging leader who can drive participation, enhance the member experience, and create a vibrant, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Racquet Sports & Programming
- Oversee all tennis and pickleball operations, including court scheduling and programming
- Provide private and group tennis instruction for members of all skill levels
- Develop clinics, leagues, camps, and social events to increase engagement
- Promote racquet sports programming to drive participation and revenue
Amenities Oversight
- Oversee daily operations of the Pool Center and Fitness Center
- Manage and support pickleball programming and growth
- Assist with oversight of Sunnies (poolside food & beverage outlet)
- Ensure all recreational areas are clean, safe, and aligned with club standards
Member Experience & Operations
- Build strong relationships with members and provide a welcoming, high-touch experience
- Coordinate schedules, programming calendars, and staffing as needed
- Maintain equipment, courts, and facilities in partnership with maintenance teams
- Support merchandising, equipment recommendations, and racquet services
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Tennis Professional or Racquet Sports Director preferred
- USPTA or PTR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong leadership and member engagement skills
- Experience overseeing multiple recreational or club amenities is a plus
- Organized, proactive, and service-oriented
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
