The Consumer Loan Processor is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation, review, and processing of indirect consumer loan documentation. This role plays a key part in organizing loan packets for pre-closing and quality assurance, maintaining compliance with lending regulations, and supporting the overall loan workflow.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Pre-Closing Responsibilities for Indirect Loan Paperwork:
- Review all indirect loan documents.
- Confirm all required signatures are present.
- Verify stipulations are complete and accurate.
- Calculate dealer reserve.
- Complete the pre-closing checklist.
- Follow department policies and procedures.
- Request missing info from branches or dealers.
- Answer routine questions from dealer partners, members, and staff.
- Reviews the exception lists and resolves outstanding issues.
- Reviews “Unable to Fund” loans.
- Funding Indirect Loans
- Verifies all documentation is in order.
- Verifies stipulations have been satisfied.
- Books loan proceeds from data processing site to core accurately.
- Completes a post-closing review of consumer loan packet before sending to QA and imaging.
- Additional responsibilities include:
- Verify weekly dealer reserve reports
- Review daily booked loans
- Process ACH dealer revisions
- Audit file maintenance reports
Qualifications Include:
- Education/Certification: High School graduate or equivalent
- Understanding of loan products and services.
- Knowledge of loan processing functions and related requirements and procedures.
- One to three years of financial/banking experience preferred.
