Carpenter / Rough Framer

Heritage Constructors Inc. is a busy, growing construction company servicing the High Desert region. We take pride in our craftsmanship and our commitment to building quality projects from the ground up. We are currently looking for a skilled, highly reliable Carpenter/Rough Framer to join our crew. If you show up on time, work hard, and know how to read a tape measure and a set of blueprints, we want you on our team.

The Role: We are not looking for entry-level trainees for this specific role. You must have proven experience in rough framing for residential/commercial builds. You will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and assembling lumber and structural materials to precise specifications.

What You Will Do:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements.

• Take accurate measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.

• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements.

• Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.

• Layout and install floor joists, wall studs, and roof trusses.

• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance safely and efficiently.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements):

• Experience: 3 years of proven professional experience as a rough carpenter/framer.

   

• Tools: Must have your own reliable framing tools (tool belt, framing hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk line, basic power tools).

   

• Knowledge: Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.

• Reliability: You must have your own reliable transportation to get to various job sites across the High Desert. Showing up on time every day is an absolute requirement.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs) and work outdoors in the High Desert weather conditions.
