Job Summary
The Director of Human Resources Operations leads the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of core HR operations. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role oversees payroll, benefits, leave administration, HR systems (UKG), performance management administration, HR service delivery, compliance, and people analytics. This leader partners closely with HR and business leadership to drive operational excellence, scalable systems, compliance, and an exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR operations, including payroll, benefits, leave management, HR systems, reporting, and service delivery
- Oversee UKG administration, system optimization, upgrades, integrations, and data integrity
- Manage performance management system administration, annual review cycles, workflows, and reporting
- Ensure payroll, benefits, and leave processes are accurate, compliant, and employee-centered
- Own HR metrics and dashboards, including headcount, turnover, payroll accuracy, and performance cycle completion
- Lead process improvement, automation, and scalable infrastructure initiatives
- Manage vendor, broker, Finance, IT, and legal partnerships
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR Operations team
- Support audits, compliance reporting, and risk mitigation efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 10 years of progressive HR experience, including HR operations, payroll, benefits, HRIS, and analytics
- 3 years of people leadership experience
- Strong UKG experience required
- Deep knowledge of employment law, payroll, and compliance regulations
- Experience supporting large or multi-site organizations preferred
- HR certification and/or Master’s degree preferred
