What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Print Room Assistant position at Heritage Christian School?
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Assist in the Print Room by providing copying/printing services as requested by Heritage Christian School faculty and staff campus-wide.
QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS: The employee must be a Christian with an authentic and a mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who agrees to the HCS Statement of Faith, Charter of Core Values and Employee Covenant in both their professional conduct and personal lifestyle. The employee is committed to incorporating these qualities and standards in carrying out the calling to Christian education. Demonstrate tact in dealing with all levels of faculty and staff in the absence of the Director. Show ability to prioritize daily workload. Must be comfortable in working with machinery and able to take initiative in solving daily problems.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma required.
A working knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Office Suite is desired. Prior printing experience is helpful.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES;
Proofread, copy, and distribute weekly all-school bulletin in coordination with established bulletin & attachment guidelines.
Copy daily print orders according to priority requests for all schools and departments.
Record daily print orders, costs, and quantities on Excel spreadsheet.
Collate, punch, & bind booklets as directed for all school departments.
Deliver daily print orders on morning distribution run.
Assist students with printing/paper requests from Elementary classes.
Complete finish work for print orders including stapling, cutting, hole-punching, and folding.
Create paper pads from excess printed material returned to the print room.
Laminate posters, school projects, classroom signs, etc. as requested.
Restock paper to shelving in public areas to maintain adequate supply.
Continue print room operations and maintain equipment safely in the absence of the Director.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to meet physical demands of the position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Small room with copier and laminating machines and paper, works alone and with others. May encounter weather moving around campus to deliver copies to faculty/staff.
WORK SCHEDULE: Part time, determined by the Director of Technology.
