Job Summary
As an Early Childhood Teacher at Heritage Early Learning Center, you will play an essential role in nurturing and educating young children in either our Infant Classroom (6 weeks–18 months) or Toddler Classroom (18 months–2½ years). This position focuses on creating a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports each child’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities
Child Care & Development
- Provide attentive and responsive care to infants’ and toddlers’ daily needs, including feeding, diapering, and napping
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote:
- Sensory exploration
- Language development
- Cognitive growth
- Fine and gross motor skills
- Support social-emotional development through positive interactions and guided play
- Create a nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe, loved, and supported
Health & Safety
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized classroom environment
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Monitor children’s health and well-being and communicate concerns promptly with parents or Administration
- Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures as needed
Communication
- Build strong and professional relationships with families
- Provide regular updates on children’s progress, milestones, and daily activities
- Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure consistency of care and smooth transitions
Curriculum & Lesson Planning
- Develop and adapt lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals and developmental standards
- Create engaging, hands-on learning experiences tailored to infants and toddlers
- Encourage learning through play, exploration, and structured routines
Documentation
- Maintain accurate digital records of children’s growth, milestones, and observations
- Assist with developmental assessments and parent-teacher conferences
- Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare, daycare, or preschool setting preferred.
- CDA (Child Development Associate) Certification or equivalent preferred

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, compassionate, and passionate about early childhood education
- First Aid & CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
