LOCATION: 10 Hanover Street London, Mayfair, W1S 1YQ, United Kingdom
COMPENSATION: 40,000-80,000 GBP (Commensurate with experience.)
SUMMARY: This role in London is responsible for appraising property, acquiring consignments, building and maintaining client relationships, generating and responding to leads, participating in catalog production and sales processes, and supporting auction operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Evaluate property and establish auction estimates
- Acquire consignments through Heritage Auctions and individually generated leads
- Research, authenticate, and catalog property
- Proof catalog text and images, press releases, consignment and bidding emails, and advertising copy
- Market auction lots to clients
- Contribute to the expansion of the client database
- Respond to inquiries before, during, and after auctions
- Travel as needed to meet with clients and review property for potential consignment
- Actively participate in auctions
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 5 years’ experience in a major auction house and/or as a commercial dealer preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain close attention to detail
- Positive attitude with strong customer service skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to follow established standards and direction
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- Excellent organizational skills; accurate and thorough
