Mandatory Certifications
- Baseline: Security or equivalent DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II
- Computing Environment: Must obtain a vendor certification (e.g., enterprise backup or recovery) within 6 months of hire
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Development: Build and maintain an enterprise backup solution utilizing Kubernetes-native tools across all AECC sites.
- Automation: Automate backup, replication, and recovery processes for containerized applications and virtual machines.
- Disaster Recovery: Monitor replication tasks and lead troubleshooting efforts for backup failures or data synchronization issues.
- Integration: Configure backup tools to integrate seamlessly with Kubernetes storage classes and CSI drivers.
Required Technical Skills
- Replication Expertise: Expertise in multi-site Kubernetes data replication and recovery processes.
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, and Vault for automated deployments.
- Scripting: Skill in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automating routine backup tasks.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- DoD Hardening: Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and industry-best hardening processes.
- Cloud Orchestration: Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and advanced container orchestration.
