Responsibilities
- Operate bucket trucks, lifts, and rigging equipment safely to access trees at various heights for pruning, trimming, or removal.
- Perform tree trimming and pruning tasks to promote healthy growth and remove hazards.
- Use rigging techniques to carefully lower branches or debris, ensuring safety for people and property.
- Conduct landscape maintenance including lawn care, planting, mulching, and general yard cleanup.
- Assist with GIS (Geographic Information System) mapping and site assessments to plan efficient work routes and document work performed.
- Maintain equipment such as bucket trucks, tools, and rigging gear through proper inspection and care.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working at heights or with heavy machinery to prevent accidents or injuries.
Requirements
- Proven growing experience in horticulture, tree care, landscaping, or related fields.
- Familiarity with tree trimming techniques, tree care practices, and landscape maintenance standards.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely along with rigging skills for lifting or lowering heavy materials.
- Knowledge of GIS systems is a plus for site mapping and planning purposes.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to working at heights and using heavy equipment.
- Prior experience with lawn care or landscape maintenance is desirable but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Valid driver’s license; certification in bucket operation or related machinery is preferred but not required.
