What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fence Installation Lead position at Hercules Fence?
Hercules Fence is a premier fence and perimeter security company in the VA/DC/MD area. We excel in commercial and high security work at some of the most prestigious locations in the United States, and are seeking a qualified Fence Installation Foreman at our Ashland, VA location. Pay is $25 - $30 per hour plus OT and other perks, depending on experience and performance.
Fence Installation Lead responsibilities include:
- Oversight of small fence installation laborer crew (3-4)
- Developing a work plan for the day with consideration of division of duty for subordinates
- Ability to track and monitor job-specific details to meet deadlines
- Filling out daily reports
- Securing proper loading of necessary equipment and materials for the day’s job assignment, and upon completion of the workday
- Inspecting work area for potential hazards such as utilities, grade issues, obstructions, conflicting trades, and other possible safety issues upon arrival to worksite
- Ensuring productivity and integrity of assigned fence installers
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Prefer 3-5 years of experience in commercial fence installation
- High School Education or GED
- Proven experience with construction equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to take direction and follow Superintendent's directives
- Good communication skills and problem-solving ability
- Working knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
- Team player
- Positive and respectful attitude
Physical Requirements:
- Safe lifting technique and ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for at least eight hours
Other:
- The ability to gain access to Government work sites is required. Preference given to U.S. citizens due to multiple contracts requiring U.S. citizenship for job access.
