The Technical Service Representative Aerospace is a vital role which
assists customers and internal Hentzen departments with a variety of
responsibilities. The Technical Service Representative will work with
Sales and be a leader in customer relations by providing valuable
insight through audits of paint line processes, troubleshooting
equipment-related problems, and offering solutions to application
issues. This position will also assist the lab to qualify products and
evaluate application properties of new and existing product lines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Exceptional Application Expertise
In depth understanding of applying solvent-based and water-based
products. Extensive knowledge concerning application equipment and
application methods for military and commercial aircraft. Strong
Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate
efficiently to a wide variety of end users and stakeholders including
lab personnel, management, process engineers, and painters. Customer
Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot paint line processes and
implementing corrective actions. Field Audits & Trials: Conduct line
audits, coating qualification testing, and customer trials Process
Optimization: Recommend productivity, quality, and efficiency
enhancements to customers\' paint line processes. Equipment Management:
Mastery of painting equipment including electrostatic guns, HVLP guns,
proportioning mixers, wet/dry film thickness gauges, and viscosity
meters. Documentation & Training: Prepare technical reports, update
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and train customers on best
practices. Full Knowledge of PPE and Safety Protocol: Understand and
fully implement required safety practices. A professional appearance is
Required For This Position. Perform Other Miscellaneous Duties As
assigned. Qualification Requirements Education: Minimum of High School
Or GED Required Or Extensive, Relevant Vocational Experience. A
bachelor\'s degree in a related field would be considered a plus.
Experience level preferred: Five to ten years of hands-on experience
with aerospace coating application, preferably as a painter, field
Technician, Or Technical Service Professional. Technical Competencies
Strong working knowledge of aerospace paint application equipment,
coating systems, and curing processes. Fundamental understanding of
Paint Chemistry Is Required. Skills And Abilities Analytical &
Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform root cause
analysis, troubleshoot complex process issues, and communicate findings
clearly and effectively. Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office
Word, Excel, Outlook), Concur, ERP system, and standard office
equipment. Ability to lead by example, influence without authority, and
work effectively within crossfunctional teams. Exemplify core values,
i.e., Integrity, Loyalty, Passion, Commitment, and Respect. Exceptional
written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt
messaging to technical and non-technical audiences. Willingness and
ability to travel more than 50% of the time. Work Environment & Physica
Requirements Physical Demands Regularly Required To Communicate Verbally
and audibly in a manufacturing or operational setting. Frequently
required to stand, walk, and move throughout the work area. Regular use
of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, and control objects, tools,
or equipment. Required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach
above shoulder level. Occasional operation of machinery using foot
controls May be required to climb, balance, and reach overhead as part
of job duties. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 65 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Safety shoes, safety glasses, and
flame-retardant uniforms or lab coats are required in production areas.
