Responsibilities
The counselor/therapist works with clients to assess, diagnose and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide psychotherapy, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support clients' emotional and behavioral well-being within the patient-centered medical home.
Qualifications
- Follows established hospital policies and procedures.
- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 2 years post graduate experience with active and unrestricted licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) in Indiana.
- Demonstrates evidence of essential leadership, communication, education, collaboration and counseling skills.
- Proficient in communication technologies.
- Previous experience with I.T. systems and data reports.
- Knowledge and sensitivity to communication strategies, accessibility and ability to identify appropriate communication strategies when required.
