As a Counselor at Recovery Works Cambridge City, you will provide direct clinical counseling services and support continuity of care from admission through discharge and follow‑up. This role focuses on delivering evidence‑based substance use disorder treatment through individual, group, and family counseling while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in substance use treatment, mental health counseling, or a related field
- Must meet Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) credentialing requirements as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC)
- Psychologist
- Physician
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Certified Nurse Specialist (APRN/CNS)
- Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant II–V (CADAC II–V)
- Addiction Professional in Training (APIT)
- Certified Addiction Counselor Level I or II (ICACI / ICACII)
- National Certified Addiction Counselor Level I or II (NCAC I / NCAC II)
- Master Addiction Counselor (MAC)
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
Responsibilities
- Conduct substance use assessments using DSM criteria and ASAM guidelines
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and family therapy services
- Reassess patients and revise treatment plans as clinically indicated
- Develop discharge and continuum‑of‑care plans to support appropriate transitions
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive care
- Document all counseling services, assessments, referrals, reassessments, and follow‑ups in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Maintain assigned caseload, including treatment planning and clinical documentation
- Coordinate with referral sources and community providers as needed
- Facilitate crisis intervention using a collaborative, team‑based approach
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards
- Attend clinical meetings and complete required training in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
