Reliability Engineer Cincinnati, Ohio, USA 1115000-145000 Job Description This role supports plant reliability and maintenance performance within a chemical manufacturing environment, focusing on reducing downtime, improving asset reliability, and driving long-term equipment performance improvements. The engineer will partner closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to implement reliability programs and optimize mechanical integrity across the facility. Reliability Engineer JD Key Focus Areas Asset Reliability Programs Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Weibull analysis and failure analytics Mechanical Integrity programs Predictive & Preventive Maintenance Vibration analysis Thermography Oil analysis Condition-based monitoring strategies Maintenance & Reliability Systems SAP PM or Maximo CMMS systems Preventive maintenance program development Work order systems and reliability reporting Operational Reliability Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) Equipment downtime reduction initiatives Reliability improvements across rotating and fixed assets Plant Operations Support Turnaround / outage planning and execution Reliability input for capital projects and equipment upgrades Support commissioning and new equipment installations Qualifications B.S. Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred Industry Background Chemical manufacturing Petrochemical / refining Process manufacturing environments Experience Reliability Engineer or Mechanical Engineer background Minimum 3–7 years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering roles within a chemical, petrochemical, refining, or heavy manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with rotating equipment and process systems (pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, piping systems)
Strong understanding of rotating and fixed equipment reliability in chemical processing environments.
Experience with SAP PM or equivalent CMMS systems.
Working knowledge of OSHA PSM, mechanical integrity requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Familiarity with predictive technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonics).
Knowledge of Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred
