Operations Manager Tier 1 Auto

• Lead different manufacturing product groups to meet business targets including on time delivery, quality, efficiency and cost
• Organize and staff manufacturing areas according to business needs
• Lead and coach production supervisors across multiple shifts
• Support coordination of weekly production schedule
• Lead and participate in safety and quality improvement teams
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements
• Contribute to new training development and sustainability of existing training systems
• Planning and maintenance of budget for operations
• Support new product prototype development and launch
• Active contributor to continuous improvement process (5S, Kaizen, Shainin)
• Represent SMP to customers and suppliers
• Project work as assigned by Plant Manager

Overall Scope

Perform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Plant Manager to successfully lead the Manufacturing efforts of Greenville Operations.

Minimum Requirements

• BAC Degree
• Purchasing Experience
• Demonstrated Leadership Experience
• Five or more years’ experience leading manufacturing environments
• Project management experience
• Excellent Communication Skills
• MRP/ERP Experience
• Lean Manufacturing experience
