Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations within a modern petrochemical and fine chemicals manufacturing facility.
This role is responsible for leading a team of lead technicians and maintenance technicians to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maximize asset life and operational efficiency.
The facility operates sophisticated and high-value assets including:

Additional rotating and critical process equipment supplied by leading global manufacturers
The successful candidate will combine strong technical depth with strategic leadership capability in a PSM-regulated, high-hazard industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise plant maintenance personnel, directing planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.

Improve workforce productivity through technical guidance, structured training, and performance feedback.

Plan and schedule maintenance to optimize resource utilization while minimizing production disruptions.

Develop and implement maintenance best practices to drive reliability and efficiency improvements.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Technology, Engineering, and Supply Chain to streamline operations and reduce costs.

Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Establish and monitor KPIs related to equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.

Ensure asset availability through preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.

Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address recurring equipment failures.

Oversee spare parts inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce downtime and carrying costs.

Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations.

Maintain accurate maintenance records to meet regulatory and internal standards.

Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting, cost tracking, and cost optimization initiatives.

Implement continuous improvement programs such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Train apprentices and maintenance personnel to strengthen reliability practices and team effectiveness.

Lead engineering and construction programs aimed at plant debottlenecking and capacity expansion.

Partner with project and construction teams during facility expansion phases.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required

15 years of maintenance experience in petrochemical or chemical plant environments

Prior managerial or supervisory experience preferred

Strong hands-on mechanical and equipment troubleshooting expertise

Demonstrated success resolving complex rotating and process equipment issues

Deep knowledge of maintenance best practices and modern reliability methodologies

Proficiency in CMMS and maintenance management software systems

Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities

Working knowledge of PSM, OSHA, and environmental regulations
-
Ability to collaborate effectively across operations and leadership teams

Ability to lift, walk, climb, and stand for extended periods

Willingness to support off-hours or emergency maintenance as required
