About the Role
Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality operations across our manufacturing and vehicle assembly environment. This role is responsible for ensuring every vehicle meets Hennessey’s performance, safety, and craftsmanship standards—from assembly line production through final inspection and release.
This is a hands‑on leadership role embedded in a factory setting, working closely with Production, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to drive quality, reduce defects, and continuously improve build processes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage quality control operations across manufacturing and assembly lines
- Establish and enforce quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices
- Oversee in‑process inspections, final inspections, and test drive validation
- Identify recurring production or quality issues and drive root cause corrective action
- Partner with Production and Assembly Managers to improve processes, efficiency, and first‑pass yield
- Manage and mentor QA Leads and QA Technicians; hold teams accountable to quality standards
- Ensure quality issues are fully documented and resolved prior to vehicle invoicing and delivery
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and reporting in Salesforce and related systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across factory operations
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in manufacturing, factory, or assembly line environments
- Proven experience leading quality teams in a production setting
- Deep mechanical understanding of complex assemblies (automotive preferred)
- Ability to identify systemic process issues and implement long‑term solutions
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Comfortable working hands‑on in a shop/manufacturing environment
Requirements
- 6 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or production environments
- 3 years in a quality leadership or management role
- Automotive, high‑performance, or mechanical manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required (technical or engineering background a plus)
- Valid driver’s license required
Work Environment
- Onsite role in a manufacturing and assembly facility
- Regular exposure to shop floor conditions
- Occasional vehicle testing and hands‑on quality inspections
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
