We are currently seeking an Employee Occ Health Assistant to join our Employee Health Services team. This position works on campus, part-time, .8, 64 hours per 2 week pay period, M-F, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Purpose of this position: Under the direction of the EOHW Manager, this position provides support and assistance to EOHW customers and staff. This position is located at the EOHW front reception area.
Responsibilities
- Responds to calls and visits from employees seeking EOHW services. Answers telephones, responds to routine questions, redirects calls and questions as appropriate and takes messages
- Utilizes the occupational electronic health record system to enter in employee clinic visits and manage requests for medical record information
- Assist with data entry as assigned
- Prepares materials for meetings, schedules rooms and organizes room set up
- Assists in the coordination of the pre-placement process, collaborate with new employee scheduling with human resource operations, creation of new employee files and providing assistance to human resources operation team as needed
- Provide assistance in the employee return to work process for work related and non-work related leaves
- Provide office assistance including; photo copying, internal and external mail processing, ordering of supplies, creation of invoices and other duties as assigned
- Ensures all steps in department process are followed related to the opening and closing of each business day, as assigned
- Provide assistance with reviewing records for volunteers. 10. Assist with responding to organizational requests for staff occupational health records, for departmental compliance activities, accrediting organizations' review of HHS programs, etc.
- Assist with respirator fit testing as assigned
- Assist with the scheduling of staff and coordination for large scale events, such as respirator fit testing and flu vaccination events
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree
- OR-
- An approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Must have word processing experience. Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Computer literacy and adaptability required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and judgment skills
- Experience in a health care setting preferred
