- Loads and operates welding systems. Pieces weigh up to 25lbs. Make running adjustments as needed. Remove complete parts, using hoist, from system and place on conveyer for inspection.
- Visually conduct required quality checks of welds.
- Conduct required quality checks using basic measuring equipment.
- Repair welds as needed. Beams weight up to 100lbs. when completed. (Hoist and conveyor line used to move completed beams.) Process repeated up to 80 times per day.
- Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment as scheduled.
- Perform machine-to-machine material handling as necessary within cell.
- Accurately report daily and hourly activities on MOS documents, boards, schedules and other media as required.
- Perform assigned daily 5S tasks. Keep machine and work area clean and free of safety hazards.
- Follow safety procedures and exercise safe working habits while operating the machines.
- Operate other material handling equipment such as Big Joes, pallet jacks, hoists, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Area Facilitator.
- High School diploma or G.E.D. from accredited school.
- Must pass the Hendrickson weld qualification test.
- Must be able to read and write legibly.
- Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
