Role Description The Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Aspen, CO, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards. This role coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, manages site logistics, and enforces safety regulations and company policies. The Superintendent reviews plans and specifications, monitors progress, and addresses field issues to keep work aligned with design and budget requirements. The position also involves maintaining clear communication with project managers, clients, inspectors, and the internal team, documenting site activities, and supporting a collaborative, professionalism-driven jobsite culture.
Qualifications
- Experience in supervising residential and/or commercial construction projects, including managing day-to-day field operations and scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of building processes, reading plans and specifications, and understanding local codes and inspection requirements.
- Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, design teams, and internal project staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly to changing site conditions.
- Proficiency with basic construction management tools, digital documentation, and project reporting; familiarity with scheduling or project software is a plus.
- Prior superintendent or foreperson experience in high-end residential or commercial construction in mountain or resort communities preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and to meet the physical demands associated with active construction environments.
