Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral health care recommendations
- Administer local anesthesia and apply topical fluoride treatments
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean dental environment
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a dental hygienist
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Strong understanding of medical documentation and recordkeeping
Skills:
- Excellent patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues and develop treatment plans
- Proficient in using dental instruments and equipment for cleaning and examination purposes
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques for diagnosing dental conditions
- Ability to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices
