Title: Construction Estimator
Company: Leading Concrete/ Structural Steel Contractor in NYC
Salary: $95,000 to $115,000 (based on experience)
A leading Manhattan based Contractor is looking to bring on an estimator, skilled in ground-up, concrete and structural steel projects across the boroughs.
Responsibilities:
- Aid in the preparation of bid packages and estimates for concrete superstructure and structural steel construction projects.
- Evaluate and perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings for accurate pricing
- Collaborate with project management team, upper management, 3rd party vendors and subcontractors.
- Utilize Excel, Bluebeam, and construction management software to compile estimates
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of estimating experience in relevant projects (concrete foundations, steel superstructure construction)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, scope of work documentation, bid leveling and drafting and evaluating bid packages.
- Proficiency in Procore, Excel, Bluebeam, and construction management software systems
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
- A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
