What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Henderson Scott US?
This is a fully remote role outside of court appearances. You must live in North Dakota and MUST BE admitted to practice law in North Dakota.
**there are no billable hours and this is a strictly 40 hour per week role**
This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters.
You will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contacts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm's clients in ND
- Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
- Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
- Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
- Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
Qualifications:
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in ND (multi-state admission would be amazing)
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
