Are you an experienced Project Development leader with 8 years experience developing DG solar & BESS projects through the full development lifecycle?
Do you come with a deep knowledge of IL and wider Midwest markets and the opportunities for DG project development?
Are you based in Illinois and able to travel across the Midwest region?
The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for spearheading the launch into the Midwest region, spearheading development activities across the Illinois market and beyond. You will be responsible for the strategy, execution, and performance of the solar and storage development portfolio in the region, from early-stage origination through readiness for construction and financing.
Must Haves:
- In Illinois with the ability to travel across the Midwest region.
- 10 years experience developing DG-scale solar and energy storage projects with a proven track record developing projects in IL.
- Strong strategic and commercial thinker with a great eye for detail - able to see opportunities and drive projects economically
- End to end development experience - from site control through to COD.
- Strong understanding of local regulations, permitting processes and key stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, particularly in engineering and construction phases.
- Strong working knowledge of project finance, construction processes and development-stage risk management.
Nice To Haves:
- Direct line management experience would be ideal (this won't be managing a team day 1 but will be pending success of the region)
- Experience launching projects in new regions, particularly if new to the company
- Masters or MBA education
