Senior Engineer - Power Grid Integration I Boston, MA I $145-155,000 DOE

The Role:
In this role you will act as a technical leader, responsible for supporting PV and BESS projects through the RTO interconnection process. You will manage generator applications through utility interconnection processes, running and overseeing power flow analyses, whilst collaborating with Development and Execution teams through the lifecycle of the interconnection process.
What You Need:
- 6 years grid interconnection experience, transmission, ISO and RTO experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Strong understanding of distribution and transmission systems and grid interconnection processes, including power flow analysis, stability studies, and congestion management
- Experience working with ISOs/RTOs and utilities on interconnection applications, distribution planning, transmission planning, and regulatory compliance (NERC, FERC, PUCs)
- Proficiency with modeling and analysis tools (e.g., PSSE, PSCAD, PowerWorld, or similar) to assess project feasibility and grid impact
What Would Be Ideal:
- ISO-NE and/or NYISO market experience
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant power-related field
