Senior Accountant - Unique Industry - Clear Path to Controller - Waverly, NE - HEMPHILL EXCLUSIVE!
Hemphill has been engaged exclusively by a high profile, mid-sized organization with headquarters in Waverly / North East Lincoln and operations throughout the Midwest and USA who has experienced consistent growth for 20 years and is strategically succession planning as they prepare for the future.
This is a very attractive Senior Accountant position for a progressive accounting professional who finds fulfillment in adding value and has leadership aspirations. As this firm looks toward developing the future leadership team, we are searching for a well-rounded operationally minded individual who enjoys accounting, enjoys tinkering with process improvements, and thrives with a variety of responsibilities on their plate vs. steady, narrow responsibilities.
Your scope of responsibility and career progression will include:
- Taking pride in the value-add tied to the quarterly and annual financial reporting process that includes the consolidation of multiple legal entities.
- Partner directly with the ownership team and operational leaders as you begin to take ownership for and more significant involvement in financial reporting, post close analysis, budgeting vs. actual, ad hoc reporting, and management-level strategic planning meetings.
- A signification portion of this individuals time will be spent on challenging, engaging, and rewarding project work including, but not limited to: Project accounting, Process improvement initiatives, and researching and implementing automation tools that will save valuable time and add significant value to the credit card reporting, accounts payable processing, FP&A, and financial reporting process.
