Cost Accounting Manager - Lead Cost and Budget Analysis
We are hiring a Cost Accounting Manager for an organization in Norfolk, Nebraska to support a regional plant operation in budgeting and financial reporting. The Cost Accounting Manager will be a key contributor to production budgeting, accounting controls, and financial reporting across the organization.
If you appreciate working in a production environment and analyzing budget variances across the product life cycle, than this is an exciting opportunity to consider! Your team will have oversight on consumption, yield, and production margins across plant operations and will develop reporting to senior leadership.
Highlights of the position include:
- Analyze inventory management of goods and materials, working directly on-site with the production team to evaluate costs at various stages of the product life cycle
- Lead a team of product specific cost analysts who dive deep into yields, labor costs, consumptions, and waste.
- Evaluate and integrate efficiencies in reporting paying close attention to the needs of key decision makers in production leadership
- Work collaboratively with operators analyzing budgets and increasing their understanding of the financial impacts on the production floor
- Lead with a strong technical aptitude enhancing reporting tools for cohesive data flow and metrics resourcing efficiencies where necessary
- Take ownership of SOX controls related to cost verifying compliance and mitigating risks
- Bring awareness, effective communication and collaboration to the team as you build trust and support of the staff
