Assistant Controller - Leading People and Process

Step in to supervise a small team of accountants while having access to future promotions and advancements in responsibility. Work directly with senior leaders ensuring accuracy of reporting, awareness of operational insights, and US GAAP compliance. This opportunity awaits a financial accountant who is focused on their career learning as well as bringing others up through effective teaching and training.
You will enjoy the opportunity to:
- Supervise mentor and develop your team for future success within the organization
- Review, analyze and direct accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and subledgers
- Use your technical aptitude to research and apply necessary system enhancements, streamlining analysis and reporting functions.
- Partner with the Controller and other financial leaders on ad-hoc reporting and special projects
- Participate in the month and quarter-end process bringing efficiencies in financial reporting and analysis
- Evaluate and verify SOX controls across financial accounting and operational controls as it relates to fixed assets and costs
The Assistant Controller will lead as a highly effective communicator across operations, shared services, and senior directors demonstrating a leadership style of cohesiveness within the teams.
