HCHD Radiology Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. A few responsibilities of Radiologic Technologist include:
- Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
- Under supervision, your role performs x-ray, CT, and ultrasound imaging on patients, assesses patients throughout, and responds to the patient’s needs as appropriate.
- Your role will serve patients in the emergency department, hospital, and outpatient settings who are in need of services.
- Make a positive difference in the lives of patients every day
- You will perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric.
- Your role will be responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.
Experience/Education/Licensure/Certifications:
- Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Current Texas License as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
- Graduated from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Prefer one year of experience in an Imaging Department
- CT Experience required
- Ultrasound experience is strongly preferred but not required.
- Must maintain all licensure/certifications and BLS certification as a condition of employment.
Minimum Experience, Abilities Required and Special Requirements:
- Previous experience in Direct Patient Care in a hospital setting.
- Expertise in utilizing radiological equipment and software.
- Outstanding diagnostic and communication abilities.
- Keen focus on detail.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
