Entry-Level IT Support Technician – Geismar, Louisiana
Contractor / Backfill | Monday–Friday | Immediate Start
About the Role
We’re seeking a motivated, eager-to-learn IT Support Technician to provide onsite support for a short-term backfill assignment, with the possibility of extension, at a key enterprise client site in Geismar, Louisiana.
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment while supporting end users and working with enterprise systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote support for hardware and software issues.
- Assist with user setup, workstation domain joins, and smart card configuration.
- Support device imaging, reimaging, and deployment.
- Maintain and track IT inventory.
- Monitor, respond to, and update service tickets.
- Follow company IT procedures, site requirements, and security protocols.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with basic networking, including LAN, VPN, and remote access.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow technical guidance.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a team-oriented approach.
- Experience supporting iPhones and iPads is a plus.
Site Access and Compliance
- DISA compliance is required before starting onsite. Candidates who are not currently compliant may still apply; we will coordinate the required process if selected.
- Candidates must complete the required drug screening, background checks, and site training.
- An existing valid TWIC card is a plus.
- We will guide selected candidates through the applicable onboarding and site access requirements.
Availability
Candidates should be available for onsite work Monday–Friday and ready to start as soon as onboarding, compliance, and site access requirements are completed.
Pay: From $4,000.00 per month
