Job Summary
Hemlock Contracting is seeking a motivated Junior Sales Associate to join our growing team in Connecticut. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an interest in construction, and is eager to develop sales and project management skills. You will be responsible for meeting with potential clients, preparing and sending quotes, coordinating schedules, and helping manage projects from start to finish. This is a paid position offering hands-on experience, growth opportunities, and exposure to residential construction sales and operations.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
- Travel to job sites and client homes to conduct estimates and project walkthroughs
- Prepare, send, and follow up on quotes in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain and follow project schedules using Google Calendar
- Communicate regularly with clients throughout the duration of each project to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with project management to ensure jobs run smoothly from start to completion
- Order materials and coordinate deliveries or pickups as needed
- Ensure materials are delivered and available on-site when required
- Request and collect Google reviews from clients upon project completion
- Keep detailed notes on client interactions, job progress, and follow-ups
- Represent Hemlock Contracting professionally at all times
Customer & Sales Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly and provide knowledgeable guidance on services offered
- Clearly explain project scopes, timelines, and expectations
- Answer client questions professionally via phone, email, and in person
- Identify opportunities to upsell or recommend additional services when appropriate
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage referrals and repeat business
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable driving to job sites and client meetings
- Ability to stay organized, manage schedules, and multitask
- Basic understanding of construction concepts (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Experience in sales, customer service, or project coordination preferred
- Confidence using email, Google Calendar, and basic software tools
- Professional phone and email etiquette
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and strong follow-through
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
