Hemex is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team. Working with the CFO and company
management, this position will own and support all aspects of the managing the accounting function.
This hands-on position will be a critical member of a cross-functional team working closely with

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site (with an option for hybrid) role based in Portland, OR.
- Own the monthly Consolidated Financial Statement preparation
- Preparing timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted
- Accounting Principles
- Ensuring payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensuring that Accounts Payable are reviewed, approved, properly accounted for, and paid in a
timely manner
- Assist CFO in building annual budgeting plans and midyear forecast updates
- Preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Review and monitor cash balances and assist with cash flow projections
- Supporting the CFO in managing banking operations and internal controls over writing checks
and approving wire transfers
- Working with the CFO to identify and implement accounting systems continuous improvement
plans
- Working with the CFO and outside CPA to file accurate and timely tax returns
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting – CPA License a plus
- 3 years’ experience as Accounting Manager
- Experience with QuickBooks 3 years
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent Microsoft 365 skills with advanced Excel skills
- Solid understanding of internal controls
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggle priorities, and to occasionally work flexible
hours to support international operations and other key deadlines
- Curious and motivated learner
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels within the
organization
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in financial analysis
