Hematology Oncology Associates was established in Palm Beach County over 35 years ago, and has grown to include 10 Board Certified Hematologist and Oncologists and 6 Nurse Practitioners in 3 convenient locations within our community. Our goals are to provide state of the art cancer treatments with a high level of compassionate care in a warm inviting environment. We also specialize in treatment of coagulation blood disorders, leukemias and other hematologic benign conditions. Job Description
- Collect, label, and process blood, urine, and other biological specimens.
- Perform routine and specialized testing, including CBCs, differential counts, coagulation tests, and other hematologic studies.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Record and analyze test results accurately; communicate critical values to providers promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results, quality control logs, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure lab tests are conducted in accordance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
- Assist with inventory control and ordering of lab supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the laboratory space.
- Participate in quality improvement and continuing education efforts
