Child Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers or caregivers in implementing daily activities that promote childhood development, including play, learning exercises, and social interactions
• Support children with their personal needs such as feeding, diapering, and hygiene routines in a respectful and caring manner
• Ensure a safe environment by supervising children at all times and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the classroom or daycare area
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that foster cognitive, emotional, and physical growth
• Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and gentle guidance, supporting behavior management strategies
• Communicate effectively with children to encourage language development and social skills
• Follow all safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary, to ensure the well-being of every child

Skills

• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, nannying or babysitting roles
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Ability to provide infant care and toddler care with patience and attentiveness
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities
• Certification or training in first aid is highly preferred; experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a lively and supportive atmosphere

Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
