Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Personal Support Services. In this role, you will support individuals in developing essential life skills, achieving personal goals and engaging with their communities in a structured and person-centered manner.
Responsibilities:
✔️️ Assist individuals with daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, organizing, laundry, dishwashing, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
✔️️Staff will provide reminders and assistance with scheduling and attending all medical appointments, including transportation and post-appointment follow-up.
✔️️ Provide transportation to and from the appointment, recreational and social ensuring the individual arrives on time.

✔️ Support individuals in developing communication, self-advocacy, employment readiness, and independent living skills.

✔️ Implement individualized service plans (ISPs) to help individuals reach their goals.
✔️ Provide transportation to and from community activities, medical appointments as needed.
✔️ Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all individuals supported.
✔️ Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
✔️ Encourage and assist with volunteering, social groups, and recreational activities.
✔️ Implement individualized service plans (ISPs) to help individuals reach their goals.
✔️ Provide transportation to and from community activities, medical appointments as needed.
✔️ Ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all individuals supported.
✔️ Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
Requirements:
✅ High school diploma or GED.
✅ At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
✅ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
✅ Ability to pass a background check and meet pre-employment requirements.
✅ CPR/First Aid certification, CMT, DDA and Mandt training.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✅ Must be patient, reliable, and passionate about making a difference.
✅ At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
