What You'll Be Doing
- Helping clients with daily routines like bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Providing companionship and genuine emotional support
- Engaging clients—including those with dementia or physical/developmental disabilities—in meaningful activities
- Light housekeeping - organizing, dishes, dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.
- Meals - preparing, cooking and cleanup
- Keeping an eye out for changes in a client's health or behavior and reporting them
3 Positions Available
1. Day-shift caregiver — includes weekend coverage and holidays
2. 12-hour night-shift caregiver — weekend coverage, including holidays
3. Flexible shift caregiver — available for all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for caring for people, with the patience and empathy to build real trust with clients and their families
- Reliability you can count on—someone who shows up on time, every time, especially for weekend and holiday shifts
- Previous experience caring for someone in a home setting preferred
- Strong communication skills, both with clients and in reporting updates to our care team
- Comfort working independently while staying connected to the broader team
- A valid driver's license with reliable, insured transportation (you'll travel within the Roanoke area to client homes, appointments, and occasional office visits for interviews, orientation, and meetings)
- Ability to pass a background check (no barrier crimes)
