What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Duty Nurse position at HELMS HOME CARE LLC?
Helms Home Care is seeking to hire LPN or RN's for hourly private-duty home care in Matthews, NC 28104. The nurse will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients in their homes, including medication administration, Trilogy machine, ADLs, PROM, lifting/moving, etc. and experience caring for patients on a ventilator and tracheostomy and or be willing to train. Full and part time positions available. Days vary, shifts available from 7am-3pm or 11pm-7am. Full time positions (minimum 30 hours per week) include full suite of benefits, including medical, dental, PTO and simple IRA with 3% company match.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Assist with ADLs, PROM, lifting/moving, etc.
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Communicate promptly with scheduling personnel
- Current NC or Compact State nursing license
- Familiarity with home skilled nursing needs
- Experience with caring for patients on a ventilator, g-tube and tracheostomy and or be willing to train
- Reliable transportation
