Job description
Your primary responsibility will be to issue employee payments, considering deductions. You will prepare payroll schedules and records, and you'll contribute to various accounting tasks, such as updating payroll files. To succeed in this role, you must be able to analyze information and have the following skills: Data Entry, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, General Math Skills, Reporting, Strong Verbal Communication, Organized.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Exaktime to ensure clock ins and clock outs are entered and that the field employees are within the Geo Fence and look at the photos of the employees to ensure they are who they say they are
- Reconcile employees' times with Unit Reports
- Oversee employee paychecks Ensure that payroll goes out in a timely manner
- Calculate net salaries considering deductions and withholdings
- Monitor paid and unpaid leaves
- Process overtime earnings or holiday deductions
- Resolve payroll problems (e.g. overlooked bank holidays, late payments, etc.)
- Answer employee questions concerning payroll
- Participate in payroll audits
- Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
- Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
- Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
- Monitor promotions, transfers and terminations
- Send certified payrolls to the General Contracts weekly
- Send apprentice reports and payments monthly by the 10th of the month
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Acquire Hotel rooms for out-of-town projects. Verifying the employee is indeed working on the project and is an out-of-town employee
