I. Station or Machines:
- Small flamematic
- Large flamematic
- Furnaces
- Shot blast
- Hydraulic press
- Hardness tester
- Crane
- Pallet lifter
- Center lap
II. Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Handling
- First piece inspection
- Signoff sheets
- Reporting non-conforming material
- Reporting maintenance problems
- Reviewing blueprint revisions
- Heat treating per engineering specifications
- Shot blast
- Straightening
- Hardness testing
- Lap centers
III. Preferred Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Two (2) years vocational school
- One (1) year previous paint experience
IV. Minimum Physical Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to load/unload parts with a hoist
- Must be able to move parts using pallet lifter
V. Minimum Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in heat treat area or high school graduate andsix (6) months experience in heat treat
- Familiar with safety rules and procedures
- Department procedures
- Setup and operation of equipment
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Operators are “certified” by a 60-day training period with a “certified” operator
