Job Responsibilities:
- Design, assemble, and maintain mechatronic systems to automate industrial tasks, ensuring operational efficiency and efficacy.
- Perform diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures on mechatronic systems to ascertain and remedy faults or malfunctions.
- Test the performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments and software.
- Read, interpret, and analyze schematic diagrams, blueprints and technical documentation to accurately install and configure systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system installation, ensuring all systems comply with company and industry standards.
- Work closely with engineers to develop and implement automated systems and processes.
- Maintain records of all maintenance, repair, and calibration activities, and create technical reports on work performed, when necessary.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are strictly adhered to, minimizing risk of injury and equipment damage.
- Utilize various tools and equipment to accurately measure and install parts and assemblies, making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Research, recommend, and implement new technology or enhancements to existing technology to improve the overall performance and efficiency of mechatronic systems.
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Support system audits and corrective action plans to minimize instances of defects and maximize product quality.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Job Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of hands-on experience working as a Mechatronics Technician or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of complex automated systems, as well as proficiency in using diagnostic tools to detect and resolve system faults.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and computer systems.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and a strong understanding of reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial automation equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical information to non-specialist colleagues.
- Industry-relevant certification(s) may be required.
- Ability to safely and effectively use a wide range of tools and equipment.
- Keen understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
- Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team as the task requires.
