The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing month-end and year-end close processes, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing month-end and year-end close processes, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounting clerks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial initiatives.
- Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle).
- Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
