Helix Healthcare Inc is looking for multiple direct support professionals to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable. Must have experience supporting individuals with disabilities
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide direct support services to clients in-home and/or in the community.
- The staff's primary role is to provide the appropriate supports tailored to the needs and desires of each individual with a developmental disability.
- Encourage and promote client's independence and autonomous skills
- Behavior management strategies and skills
- Ability to handle challenging and difficult clients and situations
- Assist in developing and implementing person-centered plans to help individuals achieve future goals
- In a timely manner, Complete all required documentation for the type of services provided. This includes prompt submission of time and attendance, daily logs, progress, and monthly notes, treatment plans, crisis plans, etc
- Provide community integration opportunities by encouraging the use of public resources and recreational facilities
- Provide least intrusive methods of intervention
- Maintain client confidentiality.
