Helix Electric is seeking a dynamic Electrical Technician to join our productiondriven team. The successful candidate will perform electrical installations, load bank operations, and troubleshooting in both field and shop environments.
DUTIES & SCOPE:- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components
- Perform load bank setup, testing, monitoring, and teardown
- Conduct electrical testing and inspections to ensure performance and compliance
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Identify issues and implement corrective actions efficiently
- Follow all safety standards, company policies, and OSHA regulations
- Work independently and collaboratively to complete projects on schedule
- 3-5 years of handson electrical experience
- Proven load banking experience (required)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work in both field and shop environments
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Electrical certifications, completed apprenticeship, or technical training
- Work in all elements depending on job location and time of year (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Wear required personal protective equipment at all times (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves; respirator when required)
- Ability to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, including overtime and night shifts as required
- Perform essential physical functions including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching
- Routinely lift objects in excess of 50 pounds and push/pull heavy materials
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
- Physical labor makes up more than 70% of the role
