Job Summary:
The IT Helpdesk Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the IT Helpdesk by assisting with basic technical support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance tasks. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in an IT support environment while contributing to efficient and responsive service for internal users.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Respond to helpdesk tickets, emails, and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Assist with troubleshooting common issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

Support user account management, including password resets and access provisioning.

Help install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.

Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment setup and retrieval.

Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and IT procedures.

Support inventory tracking of IT equipment and supplies.

Escalate more complex technical issues to senior IT staff as needed.

Participate in IT projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel/reach with hands/arms, talk and hear.
The employee frequently is required to sit and walk. The employee is occasionally required to bend and stop, push and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
