Nature and Scope:

Daman Products is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineering Intern to join our team in Mishawaka, Indiana. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside our engineering team to design and develop custom hydraulic manifold solutions using advanced CAD tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in engineering to gain real-world experience in precision manufacturing, product design, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and modeling of custom hydraulic manifolds using CAD software

• Create and update 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation

• Support engineering changes, revisions, and product updates

• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy

• Participate in design reviews and problem-solving activities

• Help maintain organized design files and engineering records

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

• Basic experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a hands-on manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, feel/reach with hands/arms, talk, and hear.

The employee frequently is required to sit and walk. The employee is occasionally required to bend and stop, push, and pull, reach above shoulder level, kneel, squat, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  

Salary : $18 - $20
