What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist - Per Diem- Inpatient Unit position at Helen Hayes Hospital?
Will work as part of an inpatient rehab team on diagnosis specific units. Performs initial evaluation and treatment of patients; Responsible to provide patient care for inpatient as well as outpatient coverage if the need arises; Assist Lead Therapist with mentoring and or orientation of new or newly rotated staff; participate in PT student programming; other duties as assigned.
You must pass competencies for this position.
Requirements
Must
be a licensed Physical Therapist in New York State and one year of post-licensure experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
1-year clinical experience; strong organizational
skills; good communication skills; experience in outpatient programs;
familiarity with outpatient regulations; and documentation requirements. Experience working with a team and strong
ability to monitor therapy progress and create home carryover programs.
