JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Equipment Technician supports a low-volume, semi-automated light assembly operation by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment and fixtures. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, setup and changeover, basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, calibration and documentation support, and coordination with production and engineering to minimize downtime. The role also supports continuous improvement, safety, and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Operations in support of production activities and equipment.
* Partner with Engineering to evaluate, test, validate and implement new production assembly tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment.
* Maintain spares parts lists and manage Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs, while also performing required PM activities.
* Supports daily production, test & troubleshoot equipment issues, determine root cause. For component supplier related root causes, provide supporting information relative to out-of-spec conditions.
* Achieve targets set forth for improvements in process cycle time, yield, efficiency, productivity to achieve business goals.
* Supports and drive lean manufacturing, waste elimination, standard work, and work cell concepts.
* Utilizes optical comparator to measure and verify fixture, tooling and component dimensions.
* Pursues continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
* Adheres to the principles of "5S" to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
* Participate in company sponsored training and process improvement activities.
* Comply with all ICC Policies and all applicable elements of ICC Quality Management System.
