Position: Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Pay Rate: $21.00 /hourly

Location: Tracy, CA

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations through product movement, order selection, loading and unloading shipments, and inventory handling. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJ) and Forklifts (FKL) and be comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using a forklift and electric pallet jack.
• Pull and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Transport materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse.
• Operate an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) and Forklift (FKL) safely and efficiently.
• Utilize RF scanners and voice-picking technology to locate and move products.
• Select and load outbound products in a timely manner.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and warehouse safety procedures.
• Work in multiple areas throughout the warehouse as operational needs require.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Assist with inventory movement, replenishment, and general warehouse duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Environment

• Regularly work in refrigerated and freezer environments.
• Temperatures may range from 35°F to -10°F.
• Fast-paced warehouse setting with productivity expectations.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and equipment operation throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) experience required.
• Forklift (FKL) experience required.
• Working knowledge of RF scanners and warehouse technology preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and move products weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to reach above shoulder height and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in cold-storage environments throughout the workday.
