Position: Facilities Maintenance
Pay Rate: $28.51 - $33.24 /hourly
Location: Stockton, CA
Schedule: Must be available to work all 7 days of the week and any shift as assigned. Schedule will be provided, but flexibility is required. Position will primarily work graveyard shift after training on day shift.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Mechanic to support the maintenance, repair, installation, and optimization of processing and production equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems. This position plays a critical role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting production operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical installations, equipment upgrades, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
- Perform emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Complete equipment changeovers and setup adjustments as needed.
- Execute preventive maintenance work orders through the CMMS system.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and equipment manuals.
- Diagnose equipment failures, dismantle machinery, replace defective components, and reassemble equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems and related components.
- Generate detailed parts lists for scheduled and emergency repairs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot PLC programs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Diagnose and repair three-phase motors, motor controls, and DC electronic systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders within the MP2 CMMS system.
- Follow all safety regulations, GMPs, SOPs, and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations involving wastewater, storm water, HVAC systems, and hazardous waste management.
- Perform assigned duties independently with minimal supervision.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Experience working with PLCs, VFDs, motors, and industrial production equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience using CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
- Ability to pass an interview with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production personnel.
- Ability to successfully complete a practical electrical test.
- Must be available to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
